Abstraction

Abstraction is the LAStudio program for the
creation of abstracts. Each abstract image is based on 3 oscillator banks for the geometric form, and 4
oscillator banks for color generation.
Each geometric oscillator has a separate frequency for X, Y and Z
plus a common modulator. Just as with
LD2000, you are able to use frames as the waveform for oscillation.
Abstractions in LAStudio is one of most powerful objects. It allows
include animations, texts or other abstractions as primary
oscillator bank and at the same time all geometric oscillator banks remain available for use. This makes it possible to build
very complex
abstractions where one abstraction includes other abstraction. Additional feature for
making an interesting pictures is ability to use effects inside
abstractions. Its very simple to add rotations, scaling or motion
effects inside abstraction.
Geometric form
- 3 Banks of oscillators
- Each bank has 3 oscillators for X,Y, Z axis,
plus a common modulator.
- Each oscillator or modulator has its own wave form.
- 5 predefined waveforms + custom waveform. Special editor for
custom waveform creation.
- Ability to import the frame as custom waveform.
- Ability to change oscillator/modulator parameters from MIDI.
- Ability to change oscillator/modulator parameters based on
audio input.
- Controllable phase of oscillators/modulator.
- Ability to change blanking periods based on
the modulator.
- Controllable oscillator interaction. Bank/oscillator may be
added, multiplied in static or dynamic mode, or bank may be used
as additional modulator for previous bank.
- Beam mode - abstraction can generate a sequence of non-connected points.
- Effects attachment - 2 effects that are used on different
stated of geometric form generation.
- Image attachment - any playable image like sequence of frames,
abstraction, text may be used as primary geometric form. In this
case resulted geometric form will be a fusion of attached image
and 3 banks.
- Ability to use attached image as sequence of colors or as
sub-track. In this case abstraction will merge 2 images.
- Build-in rotation effect - rotation by X, Y and Z axis.

"Spectra" that uses FFT.
There are various ways of using FFT based audio effect.
Depending on the audio input, Abstraction can change amplitude or periods number of
geometric oscillators. Also abstraction can change colors (brushes) based on audio. Audio also can take effect on clone functions.
