One of the exciting new features built into
Lasershow Designer 2000 is web publishing. You can effortlessly
publish professional-looking web pages that showcase your frames and
animations. This can be used to demonstrate your capabilities to
potential clients, to share work-in-progress with current clients,
and to help sell artwork to other laser companies.
Here's how it works.
Easy project management
LD2000 ships with HTML templates -- blank
pages in which your frames and animations will appear. You can use
the Pangolin-created ones, or you can add your own logos and
designs to create your own templates.
For each project, it's
easy to create a profile. That's a uniform set of
instructions to ensure that the printout, website and local files
all have the same project description text, contact information
(phone, website, e-mail) and overall look (template).
For example, one profile
might be for a client who's checking frames. A different profile
might be for customers who buy clip art from you. Just pick the
profile you want, or create a new one, and then decide how to
publish the frames.
Publish to paper, web, or hard drive
You can specify whether the output goes to your
printer, to a website, or to a local folder on your computer or
network.
-
Printer: Print the frames on paper, so
they can be presented or faxed to the client.
-
Website: Provide a UserID and Password
for an existing website. Specify a directory, and all files will
automatically be uploaded using FTP to the website.
-
Local folder: Like the website,
specify a directory -- but this is on your computer or network.
The same HTML files are stored in the local folder.
You can access the local files using a
browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. They'll
look just like a website, but load much faster. This is ideal if
you want to test before uploading, or if you want to manually
upload files yourself.
In all cases, the output will be formatted HTML
pages.
Publish frames or animations
The viewer will see all the frames you choose to
publish. The frames are relatively small, and are in JPG or PNG
format. (So its practically impossible that someone could duplicate
the frames in laser without essentially starting over.)
If you choose, you can
even add animations to websites or local folders. Just click one
checkbox in the profile, and buttons will automatically be added to
the page so users can see all the frames as a single animation.
Note: At this time, you can only publish frames
and frame sequences (animations). At a later time, we expect to add
AVI files that can play back entire shows, or parts of shows.
Provided free to LD2000 users
This new feature has been added for FREE to Lasershow Designer 2000
starting with version 1.XX. All LD2000 users receive lifetime
free updates. This continuous product improvement is just one of the
many reasons why LD2000 has more users, and more satisfied users,
than any other professional laser show software in the world.
