You are bidding on a used, Laser Physics model 300WC, White Light
(Argon/Krypton) laser producing 200+ milliwatts and 11 visible lines.
The laser was used by Pangolin in our demo room up until around five years
ago when we relocated our office. After that, it sat in our back room and was
forgotten until we recently discovered it while cleaning...
Currently the laser is producing a bit over 200 milliwatts. Note that the
optics in this laser have never been cleaned. They are "sealed" but not
"internal", which means that it is possible to clean the optics if you remove
four hex-screws from each Brewster stub. It is possible that the laser will
produce more power after cleaning. Also note that the laser has been sitting in
our back room for around five years. We applied power just the other day and it
starts up and runs with no problem. It is possible that the power will increase
if it is run for a few days at full power.
The spectrum produced by the laser shows 11 visible lines, which is an
indication of good tube health.
Not included with this sale, but available for sale separately is a
"projector add-on" which includes a NEOS 8-channel PCAOM and Cambridge model
6210 scanners. Pictures of the projector add-on and equipment rack are below.
