Solid-state lasers include diode lasers and
diode-pumped lasers (also known as DPSS lasers). Prices range from
$20 to $20,000 or more, depending on the wavelength and power level.
Today, most companies are using solid-state lasers for lightshow
applications, rather than the other kinds of lasers mentioned below.

As of February 1998, they have surplus OEM Melles
Griot cylindrical heads with apertures and Alden connectors; as well as Laser Drive power
supplies for the heads. Heads: 3-4 mw for $70, 4-6 mw for $100, and 6-8 mw for $150. Power
supplies: $60.
These more useful lasers range from $3,000-15,000
for medium power, and $6,000-30,000 for high power. (Due to this expense, many
lower-budget light show companies buy used or reconditioned argon and mixed gas lasers
from resale companies.)

lasers, all with one-year warranties. A full range is supported, starting with small
air-cooled models up to large frame 25W Spectras and Coherents. Parts,
repairs, and power supplies are also available. Their most popular model is the Spectra
Physics 168/164 whitelight with a warrantied 3.5W of power (though often as high as 5W)
