Updated the awards page to
reflect the results of the ILDA 2001 Awards.
Congratulations to all of the Pangolin users who have
won artistic awards this year. The results
clearly show the power, ease of use and versatility of Lasershow
Designer and Lasershow Converter MAX. Congratulations also goes to
Pangolin for winning a First Place Fenning Award for Technical
Achievement and a Third Place Artistic Award.

- Updated information on the Pangolin Prize rules page,
including information explaining the judging procedures that will be used
for the Pangolin Prize. This updated judging procedure is needed since we
have two Pangolin Meetings this year, but only one set of Pangolin Prize
awards. There are other special factors that also influence the need for
an updated judging procedure.

Preliminary
information and pre-registration form for the
Orlando Pangolin Meeting, to be held before the ILDA Conference
in
Orlando. The new information includes the rules and
entry form for the $1750 Pangolin Prize competition which is also
presented and judged at the Pangolin Meeting. Note: The deadline for
Pangolin Prize entries is Friday, October
19.
- Updated information about
Lasershow Converter MAX and added an additional page about
advanced features which are
unique to Lasershow Converter MAX.

version 2.11 is now available. This is a major update which
includes over 100 new features, enhancements and
bug fixes. LD2000 users can
download the 16.5 MB update files, or they can
order the latest LD2000
Installation CD.

The QM2000 board can now use 256MB memory boards. If
you want to use 256MB, and your QM2000 was manufactured before May 10
2001, Pangolin can update the QM2000 board's firmware. Click for details

Added Lasershow Converter MAX FAQ
page, to answer some of the more frequently asked questions about LC
MAX. This page includes three sample animations that LD2000 users can
download, to see the quality of Lasershow Converter MAX.

Updated list
of LD2000 computer requirements. Versions of LD2000 coming shortly
will require a minimum of SVGA resolution (800 x 600) with 16-bit color
(32,000 colors).

Updated pricing for the
QM2000 128 MB memory chip. The last time this was updated was
September 2000. Since that time, memory prices have dropped. We actually
passed along the lower pricing to our clients, but the new prices did
not get onto the website until now.

 Released
the "Pangolin ID" laser
show and music. This is a 15-second identification spot that
follows a laser beam traveling through a projector.
LD2000 clients can download the 450-frame
animation for their shows, to demonstrate how they own the world's
best laser software. Non-clients can download Flash and AVI versions
of the ID spot, to prove the excellent quality achievable with Lasershow
Converter MAX.
The frame pictured above shows a white laser
beam entering a PCAOM, with the red wavelengths continuing towards a
pair of scanners, and the blue wavelengths hitting a beam stop. (Click
