Important or extensive changes are listed in boldface.
		December 25 2002 (Merry Christmas) Added ShowClock -- a real-time laser-projected clock application for LD2000. This can be used for New Years Eve presentations or really any time you want to display a laser-projected clock. This is a very cool application that can run by itself and can even be incorporated into Showtime shows. See the ShowClockExample.SHS file to see an example of how it might be used in a real show. To download the zip file which includes the ShowClock program, an example show file, and RTF document click here. Added a zip file that contains a frame file and show file that demonstrate the principals of doing clocks and timers in Showtime 2000. This can be used separately or in conjunction with the ShowClock program mentioned above. To download the zip file click here. December 6 2002 A report on the Pangolin Meeting in Orlando. This includes a discussion from Pangolin about new features and products, and third-party presentations. Announcement of the winners of the 2002 Pangolin Prize competition, also held at the Pangolin Meeting. Created a new page about expanding the capabilities of LD2000 with our Software Development Kit, including a new addition to the SDK for the full support of the Delphi programming language.
		November 30 2002 Updated the awards page to reflect the results of the ILDA 2002 Awards. Congratulations to all of the Pangolin users who have won artistic awards this year. The results clearly show the power, ease of use and versatility of Lasershow Designer and Lasershow Converter MAX. (Statistically speaking, Lasershow Converter MAX was used on nearly half of the graphic-oriented award winners this year.) Congratulations also goes to Pangolin for winning two Fenning Awards for Technical Achievement.
		October 15 2002 Fixed conflicting information about the deadline to enter the Pangolin Prize. The ILDA and 2002 Pangolin Meetings page mistakenly indicated that the deadline for entries into the Pangolin Prize was Friday October 19. The correct deadline is Friday October 25.
		August 14 2002 Added a few new PDF files to the Printed Brochures and Ads page. Added videos showing the Winamp AVS/Laser plug-in in action.
		July 31 2002 Released LD2000 version 2.50a which fixes a few bugs related to the Enhanced Reality Preview window. July 30 2002 Released LD2000 version 2.50 which includes a plug-in for the popular Winamp media player for Windows, VST2002 real time video tracing system and a few powerful new features for LD2000 and Showtime. LD2000 version 2.50 also includes two new beam shows and a special show designed specifically for use with Live! and Lasershow Performer. The picture shown here is a screen shot of the new Enhanced Reality Preview which accurately models a laser for both graphics and beam applications. (Click the picture for an enlarged view.) July 3 2002 Added information about the 2002 Pangolin Meetings and ILDA 2002 Conference. Updated information about the Lasershow Player model CD2000. Changes include information about new features and new firmware now available. Added a new page where existing users of Lasershow Player model CD2000 can download the latest version of the CD2000 firmware. Updated information about CADA-MOD boards to reflect our current availability of CADA-MOD boards and our ability to perform mods on the new HD24 hard disk recorder.
		June 11 2002 Added information about the soon-to-be-released Lasershow Converter MAX LITE. This is a lower-cost, feature-reduced version of our popular plug-in for 3D Studio MAX, which turns conventional computer graphics into high-quality laser frames and animations. You can pre-order Lasershow Converter MAX LITE now. Changed information related to Lasershow Converter MAX, to indicate that the latest version will now work with any version of LD2000 -- Pro, Basic or Intro.
		May 11 2002 Added information about the new SMS Messaging System available from Pangolin.
		April 12 2002 Pangolin buys LAStudio, retains Uspekh as development resource On March 30, 2002, Pangolin Laser Systems concluded a deal for the purchase of all copyrights, distribution rights and source code for LAStudio and TraceIT from the Ukrainian company Uspekh LTD. In addition, Pangolin has also retained the computer software development services of Uspekh for the continued development of LD2000 software and other Pangolin products. Who is Uspekh LTD? Uspekh LTD was founded in 1995 and quickly became the Eastern Ukraine leader in the fields of professional audio, lighting equipment, and laser software development. Uspekh currently specializes in systems and services for cinemas, sporting arenas and educational institutions. What is LAStudio? LAStudio is a software package that works as an add-on for LD2000. It includes a 3D drawing and object creation program, timeline-based show creation program and an abstract generator. The package allows additional effects and provides some new methods to create scrolling text, abstracts, 3D frames, and other show elements. There will be a demo version of LAStudio available soon at Pangolin's web site. What is TraceIT? TraceIT is a bitmap to vector program that can be used with or without LD2000. When used with LD2000, it allows direct conversion of bitmaps and video sequences to laser, using the QM2000. What does this mean to Pangolin clients? This means several things. First, Pangolin clients will have some additional tools to choose from and clients will be able to purchase these tools directly from Pangolin dealers. Second, Pangolin now has additional development resources that enable us to create new software more quickly and respond to users requests more effectively. The additional software base and development resources also allow us to produce customized versions of laser software for specific markets and OEMs. What is the price of LAStudio and TraceIT? The main LAStudio software package is $1995 list. The TraceIT bitmap tracer is $595 list. Note that the above prices are only for the software. A QM2000 Intro, Basic or Pro board from Pangolin is required for laser display output. When will LAStudio and TraceIT be available from Pangolin? LAStudio and TraceIT are available now from Pangolin. April 10 2002 Added page about Pangolin at SIB2002. Updated page About Pangolin and in particular the personnel section. Updated LD2000 price list page to reflect the addition of new products.
		March 20 2002 Updated information about Comparing other systems with LD2000. Added information about Pangolin's continual innovation.
		February 28 2002 Released LD2000 version 2.31a. This fixes a bug in version 2.31 of Showtime which caused a lockup if you were viewing a WAV file and exited pressing the "Reboot QM2000" button. Note that on this version, the file date still indicates February 27, but if you look at the "Version Info" tab in the About box of Showtime, you will see version 2.31a. February 27 2002 Released LD2000 version 2.31. This fixes a few minor bugs in version 2.30 and also includes an updated version of Asteroids which includes sound. Fixed webupdate file for the latest software. The automated LD2000 webupdate should be working now. February 20 2002 Released LD2000 version 2.30 which includes some great new features and also includes a new Asteroids game for LD2000. This is a laser version of the classic vector game Asteroids. You can play on the computer screen or on the laser. LD2000 version 2.30 also includes over 70 complete laser shows, 118,000 laser frames and 9 pieces of royalty-free music.
